Thanks to 流言&米糕, I finally decided that I needed to do a RePo of some sort. (Notice that “RePo” can further be shortened to “RP”)
RePo Part I
Saturday, June 19th, 2010
So, in the very beginning of it all, I got an e-mail from流言 saying that she will be coming to Japan in June, and will be staying in Tokyo. I think that was sometime in April, waaaayyyyyyy in advance, and I was very excited. But knowing the effects of my RP, I felt like even if I made an effort to meet up, somehow everything will fall apart last minute, and I will somehow not be able to meet up with anyone at all. It was only the night before the get-together that I realized, “Oh my gosh! We really ARE meeting up!”
The original plan was to meet up at Shibuya  wait for 米糕 to join us go to Shimokitazawa  end up in Kichichoji if we had time. So I got up early (yes, 9:30 is considered “early” on weekends, thank you very much) and put on a shirt that I just bought the night before, and rush out to meet 流言 and 米糕.
Although originally we scheduled to meet up around 10~10:30 in the morning, I basically said that I will hang out in Shibuya and wait (since there were plenty of shops to keep me from being bored in case something happens due to my RP). So I just hung around, looking for breakfast, and found a shop that was selling mango ice cream. Since I felt like it was still early, I thought that I would finish the ice cream before meeting up, and there will be no problems. I paid, counting out the coins, reaching my arm out to receive the ice cream on a cone and…
The phone rang.
I left the receipt on the counter and frantically searched through my bag, but the cell phone seemed to be at the bottom of the bag and I just couldn’t find it. Somehow I got to the phone, and called back, and as I talked on the phone, trying to figure out where to meet up, the ice cream was melting fast and dripping. Damn.
I never asked流言 what her first impression of me was like.
After four years of knowing each other online, we were finally meeting up, and there I was, circling Hachiko-The-Dog to look for her, talking on the phone, racing against time and heat to finish my ice cream cone. When we finally found each other, and finished greeting each other, I heard a “drip, plap” and looked down to find a yellow stain on my shirt.
My RP…
My new shirt…
